Since you seem to like competent, no-nonsense characters, I'll guess Mal, Spike, Death, and Hermione. If nothing else, those would make for a great fan-fic combo.

Spike: yes! Pretty, and pretty good about calling bullshit for what it is. The others: all admirable in their way, but not quite at the top of my list.
