You know when a cat so wants a bird it sees through the window that its tail twitches and it says "tch-tch-tch!"? I just found a page selling Victorian/Old West clothes that has me reaching at the screen. Tch tch tch...!

I mean, vests. Guys, go check it out, there's great stuff for you, too. But, yeah, vests... What I really like about old west style fashions is that they have the narrow waist/wide shoulders thing going, with an occasional high collar, in practical fabrics. Really good combination of features, makes people look snazzy as hell while still being warm and easy to move in. The vest part, when done right as they did 130 years ago, emphasizes the waist and body in general, and is a great excuse to add some color to an otherwise normal outfit. I've had a faroff dream of making myself a bunch of high-collared narrow-waisted vest-like shirts, but I can get started by putting some of these on my Christmas list... Hell, the prices are so reasonable vs. making stuff myself.

So cool. Thank you, Google Adwords on Gmail! It's a bit of a stretch to get here from "Victorian steampunk", but I'm glad you made that stretch! Thanks also to Brian Isikoff, whose game at Saturday's Endgame minicon provided the keywords. The game was fun, too. ;)

EDIT: Oh god, look at the parasols!
