I followed [livejournal.com profile] follybard's link to photos of Christopher Walken dancing, and found this: Christopher Walken floating in Weapon of Choice

Holy crap, I thought. This I gotta see. I've had more than one flying dream just like that photo. The dreams that fall halfway between "I bounced up on a parabolic trajectory and now the men with laser rifles can shoot me" and "pull with my arms to help beat my enormous invisible wings".

So I went to YouTube to see if the video was there. And lo, it was. That is Awesome. The music is great. Walken's dancing is awesome. The sense of fun, and the complete deadpan, superb.

It nearly beats the greatest YouTube video I've seen yet: Look what some guys did, dancing in their backyard.

I want to do that. I need a digital recording device that does more than 30 seconds of video... Do any of you have one, and the desire to do cracking choreography in spiffy suits?

Wait! As I seek the sushi dance, I find: That's not just some guys, that's the actual band OK Go, that did the song! And they're doing a contest for dance covers of it until the 30th!

Other splendid* and useful* dancing videos on YouTube: Sushi Picnic ([livejournal.com profile] naudiz owes me SAN)... Wait, you're all saved by forces beyond my control which have taken that one down. ::coughDeltaGreencough:: But the 6-minute Evolution of Dance video will do for you! (*Videos may not be splendid or useful)

Man. I've been, if such a thing is possible, doing too much drinking and singing lately, and not enough drinking and dancing.

You and J should do a dance video! Add [livejournal.com profile] shekkara and [livejournal.com profile] tlatoani... That would be so very sweet. :)
