I've been a bit daunted by the number of new readers I gleaned from the "specific things to do to better include women in gaming" post... What if they all realize I don't chiefly post long essays about gaming? ;) But I've also been legitimately busy the past few days. Thursday was eating dinner with [livejournal.com profile] obadiah, [livejournal.com profile] broohaha, and [livejournal.com profile] ericorange, and talking about mystical experiences. Paraphrased from memory:

[livejournal.com profile] broohaha: If there's a "god center" of the brain, I don't think I have it.
[livejournal.com profile] zdashamber: Maybe you're a mutant.
[livejournal.com profile] broohaha: Ha! I like that.
[livejournal.com profile] zdashamber: "Some people shoot lazers from their eyes. I don't believe in god."

Friday was the final session of [livejournal.com profile] jhkimrpg and [livejournal.com profile] whumpdotcom's Buffy campaign, Silicon Valley Slayage, which I've been in for about a year and a half now. One of our cohort liveblogged the session. Next: I run Amber!

Saturday was reading an interesting book about cop experiences that [livejournal.com profile] obadiah lent me, and then, karaoke at [livejournal.com profile] motleypolitico's house. Man, I love that stuff. What I want to karaoke: Dr. Hook's "Cover of the Rolling Stone".

Sunday was, oddly enough, the final session of the other campaign I'm in, Mike "Epoch" Sullivan's Civil Blood. Next: up in the air, currently; three of the GMs in the eight-person group have offered possible campaigns.

Monday, a stained glass class, up in the ritzy hills of Oakland. I took it in the fall, and got nearly done with my first panel over the course of eight 2.5 hour sessions; when I came back this time I finished it up in one class. Fibonacci spiral, yo. Geeks represent. I'll upload a photo when next I have time to fiddle around with images. In Monday's session, I determined to take all the gorgeous glass scraps I have left over and make them into a couple of quick crazy quilt panels. Seems to be going far, far faster.

It occurred to me that one thing I could do was a repeat of the Wayback Machine meme:

Chances are people you don't even know are being introduced to your journal every day, either randomly or through someone else. In addition to recent entries, people can get to know you better by what you posted in the past.

With that in mind, post a link to your entries on this day six months ago, nine months ago, a year ago, and two years ago.

(Sidenote: I'm amused to see that the previous incarnation of the Wayback Machine meme on this blog links to a post referencing the first time I played Dogs in the Vineyard.)

10/25/05: In which I explain the molecular anatomy of the brain, and report on a scientific talk about the effects of drugs thereupon

7/28/05: In which I clean in preparation for moving, and realize that at the post office pennies transmute into something useful

4/27/05: In which I provide brief summaries of the characters I was playing at the time, one of whom was of course Carlos, from the just-finished Buffy campaign

4/22/04: In which I luxuriate in the consumption of dill pickles at work.
