California Propositions
Oct. 26th, 2005 10:33 pmSummary: What is this shit?!
For those of you interested in Califonia politics, this is how I see it:
Prop. 73: Parental notification of abortion: What, am I on crack?!
Prop. 74: Tenure of teachers from 3-->5 years: Why is this on the ballot?!
Prop. 75: Unions have to get permission each year before doing politics: You know what the real problem is? People in California who are forced to pay union dues. But this doesn't address that. If unions can't play politics, what the hell are they for? Shee-it.
Prop. 76: The governor can unilaterally cut whatever he likes to balance the budget: What am I, on crack?!!
Prop. 77: Redistricting done by a 3-judge panel: 3 judges aren't enough to grasp the details of every community in California. Come back when you have 7, or 9. Next!
Prop. 78: Drug companies can cut costs of drugs to people making under 30K: What, they can't already? Next!
Prop. 79: Drug companies will cut costs of drugs for people making under 38K, or else we'll make life hell for these poor people!: The fuck you say. Why are we legislating the cost of drugs? Fuck you! Next!
Prop. 80: A bunch of screwed-up shit will happen to electricity regulation: Oh, right, and a proposition is totally going to straighten out the power market. One fell swoop! How hard can it be! Next!
Shee-it. I like propositions. But this? What is this? The only one that's even coherent is 73, and it's batshit insane.
