I'm going to ramble feverishly now.

... No, wait, that would be bad. Bad bad bad. How about a meme instead?
Ask any of my roleplaying characters, including the characters I still have in chargen/have plans for in the near future, a question and I will answer in an in-character manner.

Well, I was going to post something about how, with the gas line under the house rusty like swiss cheese, I finally had to schlep a bagful of laundry to a laundromat. And by "bagful" I mean "comforter coverful." See, I've been down to skirts for about a week now, and it's bad for my health to have my legs sticking out all skinny and ...skinny. And I barely had the energy to go through with it all, even still. I just want to climb into the nice big warm dryer and sleep.

Here's where I cut it off because I'm not feverish enough yet to describe why I want clean laundry for the weekend.

Carlos, are you going to do something about that hole in your memories, or just keep pouring drinks at Gaseous?

...Yeah, well. I was thinking of posting something about this. I mean, I saw "The Constant Gardener" over the weekend. Reminded me of what I was avoiding. Basically, I'm just a huge coward.

About the hole in my memory... I dunno. I mean, the nightmares... I dunno if actually knowing what lurked there would...

No.

(Big fucking coward.)

Oh, and I don't know if I'm going to stay at Gaseous. I could pour drinks at Laney's place if she gets it going. Waste my life with a shorter commute.

Heh.

"Prince Mercedes, what do you regret, besides that kipper?"

[snort]

Heh heh.

Mazarati, dear. I suppose I regret not tying that nice young man up and torturing him... We might both have enjoyed it. If I was so inclined.

I was looking around.

I couldn't've called him "Jag" without really stretching.

Aisling: I never got to meet you properly. Were you as bad as they say?

My body lies rotting outside the gates of Thebes. It's enough to make me wish I had sought to make desolate with fire my native city and its gods.

Keket: Is your father really as dumb as he seems?

::hissing sort of chuckle:: Well, remember that a lot of his reputation was thanks to the machinations of Set. On one hand, he wasn't always very good about figuring out how other people would take his actions... Like the way he didn't share credit for the Libyan victory and catalyzed Set's opposition. On the other, he could be relied on to hold to his morals, which made him a known quality, which made him easy to work with.

I wouldn't say he was particularly dumb.
