zdashamber: painting - a frog wearing a bandanna (Default)

Why does the top of my scalp hurt? Oh, because last night I was using it to prop up the solid spruce tabletop while I arranged holes so I could screw it together again...

I moved. Gruelling doesn't even begin to describe it. Trouble was: I hadn't enough time to pack, even with skiving off work in the afternoon and staying up until I dropped Friday night. So the spendid people who helped me Saturday could only move what was already packed. Fortunately, Silent E sluffed off a minifridge which I used to lure [livejournal.com profile] aiyume back on Sunday (after being up until I dropped Saturday... Returning the truck the marvellous [livejournal.com profile] badgerbag lent me at 1-2 in the morning, because I had to use the morning hours of Sunday for packing and cleaning). The never-to-be-sufficiently-praised aiyume helped move another load of stuff...

Ended up I was up until 3:30 Sunday night cleaning and shoving stuff out the door. Monday I hadn't felt so beat since I'd had strep. Good day to take off work. I rearranged my room so that I could actually get to the windows to shut the blinds (I had memories of something called "sleep"). I went back to the old place and dug up my iris, the ones I'd brought from Colorado or specifically bought over the internet, the ones that I built a whole flowerbed around so they wouldn't get mowed for the 4th time... In the absence of mowing they'd flourished to an astonishing degree, such that major excavations were necessary to ease them under the fence. came back aranged some more boxes, laid down on the bed, started awake again an hour and half later...

There is no internet at the new place yet; no phone line, nada. So my only access to the internet is here at work on Le Mac Pathetique, which does not load the individual entry page for the basic LJ templates. So if you say things behind a cut and you don't have some schmancy css thing going on, I can't read them; I can't read your comments; I can't leave comments.

So I have to say it here. All I can think of that I needed to comment was, [livejournal.com profile] corwin77: Aw, shucks, twern't nothin'.
