So, let's say you check out the day's "toothpaste for dinner" and think, Oh, hey, that's a good point, I missed that band in Tahoe when I was in Oakland, and I missed them right! next! door! when I was in Littleton, I wonder where they're touring now?

So, you go to their website, look at their tour schedule for the next year, and they're not coming to California. Hm, you think. How about those dates in Nevada, or Washington, so I could combine a concert with a trip to see a friend? Nevada only has two places, and Washington only has one, right? These towns I've never heard of are probably suburbs...

And you plug these town names into Yahoo! maps, and the first one you have to zoom back to 5 before you recognize anything, and the second, at 5, you see a National Fucking Forest and absolutely nothing else...

That's a kinda weird feeling, right there.

What, are their roadies sasquatches?!

<sigh>

Ummmm... The Kingston Trio.

They're not my favorite band, but they're damn fine musicians (at least, according to the MP3s I have), and it'd be really nice to see them before they kick the bucket.

Would this be the concert at Chelan? I found a site for where they'll be:

I believe that's Eastern Washington. If you come up to see them, you should come visit us! =)

Yeah... But a name like "Chelan," in the middle of nowhere Washington, I figure if I went to the concert what would come back would be my skin wrapped around something arthropodic. I'd rather just visit you. :)

Oh, Eastern Washington isn't that bad. I mean, this is on a major highway.

Or do you feel you'd just fry under the "desert" sun of Chelan?
