Jul. 3rd, 2004 11:45 pmSo, my housemate is away for the weekend, and like
arden_ranger, I was planning to luxuriate and wander around nekkid. Until I got in touch with my cousin, who's been released from girl scout camp counselor Hell for a few days, set free to roam the parts of the Earth that are within 15 miles of San Francisco. With two other escapees, she begged for a place on my floor. Blood is thicker than wandering around nekkid. <sigh> ;)
So instead of going to the Marin Country Fair today (wearing clothes!) I scrubbed out the bathtub and sink, and vaccuumed about 90% of the floor space, and washed and folded a few loads of laundry, and set out nice clean towels, and threw out all the stanky stuff in the fridge and took out the trash and washed all the dishes in scalding hot water and put Pepsi in to cool and moved all the books to be traded into the car and sorted all the clothes and crap to go to the Salvation Army into just two bags because at that point y'know, why the heck not...
So, very productive day, and it's kinda nice. I even found time to go pick up loads of free comics and the Joss Whedon X-men stuff (and lightbulbs and zip-loc bags while I was getting a copy of the house key at the hardware store and I dropped off the DVD I rented). But aside from the comic book thing... It'd have been a nicer day to just lie around, drink tea, do nothing, and read "The Merlin Conspiracy." Ah, well, c'est la vie.
It is nice the way things are finally flowing out of my room. I can now see the point where I can unpack the last of the boxes I moved in two years ago. Hah!
