The return of the song lyric meme--but horribly, horribly changed!

Well, not that horribly. But while in the past I've heard it as "your favorite line of the song" this time it's "the first line of the song (with the title blanked out, if it's in there)". Specifically:

Step 1: Put your media player on random.
Step 2: Post the first line(s) of the first 25 songs that play
Step 3: Everyone guesses/brags about the ones they know in the comments, even if they've already been guessed

EDIT: Oh! And I definitely need to thank follybard and arenson9 for bringing this to mind again! I noted what's been gotten so far and added more lyrics to the rest.

I'm going to try this with the first couple lines, to make it a bit more likely to catch you if you know it. Some are really, really easy. One is hard. Several are related, with the player hanging out in hotspots. These are lyrics based on my hearing of the song, so caveat emptor.

Once I ripped the disc, I gave it (inscribed copy) back to shadowflyer. Guess he hasn't given it a recent listen.

I didn't bother guessing the ones that had already been identified, but I did know quite a few. Including knowing that #23 was "Going to California" by Led Zeppelin and not a Dead song. I listened to Zeppelin IV almost as many times as I listened to the White Album in junior high.

#1 sounded familiar to me, so I googled the lyrics. I swore up a storm when I found out what song it was. I've probably listened to the album 100 times since the 80s when I first got it. Like the average person not knowing the song for "Dashing through the snow in a one-horse open sleigh..."

Since this song is really more of a Don Henley Eagles piece than a Joe Walsh Eagles piece, the performance led one of my friends who was there to quip, "What's he going to play next, 'Boys of Summer?'"
21. "Boat on the River." Styx. Cornerstone. Written by Tommy Shaw, this piece was a huge international hit for them, but it's far from their best known song within the US.
