No joke. The community response to Blue Rose included some of the most shockingly sexist (http://brand-of-amber.livejournal.com/62988.html) and homophobic comments I've ever seen. It made me pained to be a member of communities with many folks out there, but happy that there were folks like you who were willing to push things.
