zdashamberI'm taking a stained glass class: something I've always wanted to do, translucent colored things are a deep delight of the blood. (I have photographs of glasses full of cranberry juice.) For a simple first panel I'll be making a Fibonacci spiral. The largest part (the 8 square) turned out to be bigger than the glass I'd bought for it, so after dragging out of bed this morning after being up 'til... God, I don't even remember... at Mike and D's last bash I set out to Hayward to check out a different stained glass shop.
Sometimes I visualize things in terms of cats. Thus: there are highways that chew on me and lick me, and I shove them around with my paws and move my head to a more comfortable position and we sleep in a pile together. 880 is one of these. And then there are highways where we lie down together, and then one will make some unexpected movement and the other will jump halfway across the room...

So I drove around for about an hour, and I failed to come anywhere near the shop, and then I retreated to 880 and home because I had to go see the Corpse Bride with Sam and Rezaul. (It was ok.)
And this comes to mind because the trip wasn't a total loss: as I was wandering down Foothill, a guy on a bicycle carrying 2 bags of groceries completely wiped out in front of me, and I was able to pull over immediately and help him up, and carried his groceries for him to his apartment. (He was interesting: almost too shocked by the fall to start hitting on me and the other girl who came to help. I could tell from the moving car that there was something screwed up about how he fell... Turned out he was slightly paralyzed on one side from having been shot.)
So I can honestly say in the Dumas quiz that I would drop whatever I'm doing to help a friend or a stranger. There, that's the point. Go away now! Oh, ok, here's the quiz. :)
