Also, today I stopped by and got my copy of _Anansi Boys_ and the ticket to the Neil Gaiman reading/signing in Berkeley on Friday the 30th. Yay! Odd thing: Sunday I stopped by Cody's on 4th street to preorder the book and get a ticket. No one in the store knew what they were doing about the whole ticket thing, and I got pinged back and forth between the information counter and the sales counter. Bearing up gamely, eventually my pitiful mien touched their hearts, and they gave me a ticket and a sheet to exchange for a book later.
Today: another ticket when I actually bought the book. So now I have two. Shall I scalp the second, or does someone need it?
Wait...what?!

Date: 2005-09-21 06:16 pm (UTC)I called Cody's because I was concerned that I wasn't getting my ticket or signing number until I showed up at will call at the event. It turns out the ticket number (according to the lady on the phone) is not the number for the signing line. Those will be handed out first-come, first-served at the event. They will have people there at 5:30; I don't know if anyone else will be showing up earlier, though I wouldn't mind doing so (say, 4:30-5:00).
Look forward to hanging with you before, during, and after. Do we want to try to catch Mirrormask at the Landmark 1 & 2 theaters after the signing? It's a Friday night, but I don't know if you have prior Serenity engagements. Feel free to e-mail or phone me about it. :)
Thanks again.
