Yesterday I had to get up before 10 to move my car out of the 2 hour parking... Went to Piedmont to get the last Serenity comic. They had only the Simon cover, which sucks, so I forwent it for the nonce. But! There was a big garage sale for Katrina relief, and there was a nifty leather laptop bag there with tons of pockets, for $1! Hoo hoo hoo!

And also? I found an Indian place. That delivers. Hah!! I love this city!

(Have I mentioned before the odd church group that handwashes cars for cheap at 23rd and Telegraph on Saturdays? Their color glossy handouts advertise, among other things, "Deliverance From Demonic Spirits." "My car: Clean, like my soul ain't.")

Envy!! An Indian place that delivers! That's almost enough to make me contemplate abandoning the burbs and moving to the Big City.

On the other hand, what we lack in food delivery options, we make up for in parking. Lots of parking. No two-hour limit or anything.

Perhaps it all evens out.

There were places in Oakland where the parking was plentiful and unlimited... My old place, for one. And I think the Indian place would have delivered there, too, had I but known... But who knows? Maybe it's bad Indian food. :)
