One big pile is better than two little piles

Let's see... This morning as I was dragging the blinds open to let in the sun that heats my room during the day, the blinds popped out of their improper brackets, the detrius of some other ancient proto-cheap-venetian-blind, and speared the back of my hand... So the long hand bone that leads to the middle finger had a rather painful goose-egg for about 14 hours. Evil to him who evil thinks, I suppose. Heh.

Spent yesterday doing taxes, which was actually quite simple. There were about 2 times when I was like, Oo, I might be able to get this deduction-- ...if I invited some unemployed member of my family to live with me and took a paycut...

With e-file choices ranging from EZtaxfile111V14GR4.com to "MultiCorp, where you need not fear that the 3rd-world technician with your data will sell it before we do" I was of course sorely tempted, but regrettably the first I tried wanted my past year's return info; and the second made me set up a login and then, as I started entering info, told me that it wasn't going to allow me to dirty myself by stooping to use any browser but Internet Explorer.

With tears in my eyes I drove off into the sunset looking for another place to put the garbage...
